Rosie Goodwin's books are not the genre that I usually choose to read but I must secretly admit that I am becoming addicted to them.
This is the fourth in the Days of the Week series and I have enjoyed them all.
Besides the usual conflict between the 'haves' and 'have nots', this book also features murder, incest and homosexuality in its storyline and, of course, death features strongly as most of the story is set in an undertakers.
There is a strong but sympathetic heroine, Nessie, who is a shining light throughout the book. She tirelessly and selflessly keeps her family together through poverty and helps others in need once she has worked her way into a position to be able to do so,
Good to know that there will be a further two books in the series published in 2019.
