I would vary rarely choose a novel set historically, but I have totally revised my opinions. After reading my copy of The Blessed Child by Rosie Goodwin it has most certainly left me wanting to seek out more. This has to be one of the most fascinating books I have read in many a long year!
The story flowed from the very first page. The characters had depth and were completely believable in a story line that was fast paced, and interesting. Through the authors words we are taken from poverty to riches, from despair to hope and back to despair. Relationships, in all shapes and forms whether emotional or practical are crafted with considerable skill.
This book is a first class read and I very much look forward to Rosie Goodwin’s next book!
