I was never a fan of this genre of book up until quite recently when a friend gave me a copy of another Rosie Godwin book “Mothering Sunday”
Rosie’s passion spills out onto the pages of all her books and really captivates the reader and takes them to that time of life.
Whilst reading you instantly imagine yourself in the scene and think how life must have been “back then” how did people survive ? Why did they survive? Could I have lived this way ?
I absolutely loved this book and would definitely recommend to everybody who loves a family saga set in Victorian Britain you will keep turning the pages as you become so involved as the reader you want to know more and more.
