This book about Nessie or full name Wednesday, struggles to manage her family, her mother died some eighteen months ago and her dad left when her little brother, Joseph, was born. I normally wouldn't read this type of book, so it wasn't as gripping as I thought it would be. There was a little tension at the start and that was about all, there wasn't anything special about this book. The cover was nice with what I think was Nessie on the front cover. To be honest I don't get why the book is called " The Blessed Child" but having only read one chapter , I might be wrong.
