I'll explain the title. My friend loves these king of books and I, not so much so if I were to buy this, it would definitely be a gift. I must admit though, the last sentence 'Set over sixty years of British history, The Blind Light by Stuart Evers is the compelling story of one family as they deal with the personal and political fallout of their times.' does make me give it a few more stars. I gave it a three star though as I personally wouldn't read it and I judge on that. For someone else though, it would be wonderful.
