The cover displays a real person and I would normally not give this book a second glance but when I started reading I couldn't seem to stop. This book is quite intriguing with a unique plot. It creates amazing imagery and is set in a farm. I have not read many books like this one as it is not usually my genre. However Evers has blended a twist of historical fiction with modern social issues and it works really well!
