The opening chapters are intriguing but if I'm honest I've no idea how the characters and stories fit together, aside from one or two names cropping up more than once. The different timelines confused me as well although the doom town gives it a slightly post-apocalyptic feel. This is a chunky read and would represent a considerable time investment for something that might not be my thing.
