This book makes me wish I had more of an interest in 'historical' fiction. The cover is subtly powerful, you know that in a few weeks it will be adorning bookshops everywhere. The opening chapters are clearly written by a very gifted author, i already felt drawn in to the world.
However, the book would be wasted on me as i have no interest in the cold was period of our history. If i have watched a film or TV show i just cannot follow all the intricacies of the plot.
So, although I fully expect this to be a best seller that everyone is talking about, I won't enter the drawer so that someone who really wants to read it has more of a chance.
