The reason I gave this book a 4 stars was because historical fiction is not my usual go too reading genre however I found myself enjoying the historical aspect of the book. I'm definitely now more inclined to read more historical fiction books in the future. The blind light follows the friendship of Drummond and Carter as we follow along how their friendship changes. Due to the length of this book towards the end it felt like I had followed along the characters real life journey. I definitely struggled reading this book because of how long it was and I felt at times i'd never get through it however I admit the story and characters definitely hooked me and kept me pushing through until the end. I always appreciate books that teach me new information and this book definitely did that for me. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys historical fiction and particular fiction surrounding war.
