This is the third Hardcastle and Chaytor book that I have read and sadly I was a little disappointed by this one. I really enjoyed the first two books so was excited to be able to read the third!
However, this book for me didn’t have the same depth and back story and it seemed a little more rushed than the previous two. I felt as though there were too many characters in the book, which contributed to the lacking back story that I was looking for.
The books pace also seemed a bit hit and miss with the middle of book going quite slowly with the end all happening over a couple of chapters.
I would read another in this series if one was released but would hope that it’s more like the first two books.
