I'm not entirely sure what this novel is about, and the first look has set a vivid scene of a woman caught on the precipice of a different life, caring for her Uncles shop whilst he recuperates from a fall. It's clear there is something in her life she is struggling with, and she has recently gone through heartbreak. But as to where this book leads, I have no idea! A strange encounter with a customer in the shop leaves the carrot dangled, and my curiosity is piqued.
