This was a lovely, charming read which I really enjoyed! I was looking for something uplifting to read and I wasn't disappointed with this one.

Our main character is Jo Sorsby who we meet as she agrees to run her uncle's stationery shop. Whilst working there she certainly comes across some interesting characters, people that she might not normally have crossed paths with. She becomes friends with two older characters, Ruth the runaway vicar and Malcom who at his age is still finding himself.

I loved the friendship that blossomed between the three central characters, it really does show that you can find friendships in the most unexpected of places with people from all walks of life. They all have a story to tell and can all learn from each other, so it was interesting to see how their friendship developed along the way.

I tend to usually go for thrillers so this book made a nice change - it definitely has a positive message running throughout. A lovely story that I thought was very well written by the author.
