Alongside my passion for books, is a passion to collect pretty notebooks and pens, so stationery shops are somewhere I love. This book was a lovely book to curl up with, to see how Jo’s life would change whilst looking after her uncle’s stationery shop.

I loved how we got to know the main characters, the shop neighbours and the customers. Can these new friendships change her life forever?

Although there is some sadness in the story at times, this is ultimately an uplifting book about the power of friendship and community, the type of book I love reading to remind me that despite the stories in the news, that the majority of people are kind and helpful.

This is the second book by Sally Page that I have read and enjoyed, and I look forward to reading more in the future. Hoping to be able to meet Sally and her daughter Libby at our local Waterstones next month.
