First of all, Sally Page is a talent! She knows exactly what readers want and she delivers every single time! This book was no different. In fact, I think this has to be one of my favourite books of hers!

The story follows Jo Sorsby who is desperately trying to hide from her past. As we know, it will only ever catch up with you! However, in her attempts to hide she decides and agrees to run her uncle’s beloved stationary shop. It’s the best distraction she could ask for. The customers keep her busy and she is able to forget about her own life and focus on theirs. She sees them scribbling little notes and adore the colourful notebooks. She can forget all about her heartbreak this way, right?

She meets Ruth, a vicar running from her own secret. She also meets Malcolm - a septuagenarian who is desperately trying to find himself too. Jo quickly realised that she isn’t alone in the world and the reader feels that too.

A really lovely and heartwarming story with unique characters. The cover is lovely too!
