Firstly, I adore the cover of this book, it is so eye catching and lovely, and the more I look at it the more details I see!

The book of beginnings is a delightful tale of friendship. The style is quite unique and I really enjoyed the writing. I adored all the quirky characters, both living and ghostly, and chuckled along to many of the plot points.

Jo Sorsby is left in charge of her uncle’s stationery shop, which she loves. She is hiding out from her past mistakes and finds a lot of people doing similar. She makes new friends, gets the wrong end of the stick occasionally, and rekindles her love of stationery.

It is a gentle tale, funny and poignant, which expresses the ups and downs of friendship. It is a book of relationships, old and new, failed and beginning. Jo finds new friends, builds bridges with old ones and finally discovers that she is far from average!
