This was a heartwarming and thought provoking read. Page does an incredible job of creating vivid, relatable and entertaining characters, and weaves a story around chance meetings, the development of friendship and the discovery of one's true self.

Jo Sorsby finds herself managing her Uncle's stationary shop in London whilst he recovers from a fall. It's the perfect opportunity for her to get away from her life up North where she's been left by her tosser ex James, and her relationship with her best friend Lucy is strained. In running the shop Jo interacts with a host of quirky customers and the unlikely runaway Vicar Ruth and loner would be author Malcolm become a lifeline for her as much as she does for them. Throw in the distraction of a hunky next door optician affectionately nicknamed Eric the Viking, and Jo's life may just be about to improve for the better... or should that be "Begin"?

I loved this charming contemporary read and will certainly be looking up the author's other works.
