The Book of New Beginnings...Sally Page.
This was a book I thought I may like so couldn't wait to read it.
At the start I really was not at all sure it was for me but nevertheless continued on...the more I read the more I wanted to carry on.
This story is very cleverly written and really makes one want to turn pages so I really didn't take long in finishing it.
Jo is working in a stationery shop for her uncle as he is unwell .
It's what happens to her as she makes friends with the neighbours and customers. One being "the runaway vicar" Ruth.
The people she meets quickly become friends and are engrossed by a book that Malcom wants to write about the people buried in Highgate Cemetery and their lives...A lot of information is stored in his notebooks and Jo and her new friends have a lot of fun working out what their lives would have been like.
The end of the book is a real surprise not to be spoilt by me!
