I don't think the cover gives this book any justice as I may have overlooked it on the book shelve, but once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Thoroughly enjoyable and one of the best that I've read in a long time.
So well written with a wonderful storyline and characters that you feel you get to know, who make you laugh and make you feel sad in equal measure.
The main character is Jo Sorsby who travels from North Yorkshire to London where she has been asked by her parents to look after a stationery shop that her beloved Uncle Wilbur, who now has dementia, owned and run.
The story takes you on a journey of how she deals with her life before running the shop and her customers and neighbour shop owners and how she gets to know them.
Thrown into the mix is Jo with her two new friends, Malcolm and Ruth visit Highgate Cemetery to help Malcolm write a book that he has always wanted to do. I would definitely recommend you read this fabulous book.
