Feel-good easy read

A different read for me as I usually delight in the real world life of a person. However, this is an ideal feel-good easy read. The main character Jo narrates throughout, mostly in a simple time line, but we gradually get snippets of her past as she reflects and confides in her new friends.

If you enjoy a bit of history and theatre of characters from time past, you will enjoy the weaving of the cemetery and famous names therein.

For me it was a little bit too twee and obvious in places, but I'm sure this is in keeping with the style of writing and intended audience, there's not much to ponder or startle the reader. You can dip in and out without losing the plot or struggling to recall who is who. I would recommend this book for a cosy winter evening.

I haven't read anything else by this author, but I'm sensing there is some interest and readers are keen to recommend in a previous book.
