Well I just loved this book!! I had high hopes having also loved Sally Page’s previous book and this did not disappoint!
The Book of Beginnings centres on the character of Jo and the path her life takes and the people she meets when she moves to London for a few months.
I loved everything about this book: the style of writing, the characters and the premise of the story. I also loved that it was set at Christmas as it just added to the overall feel of this book.
I couldn’t put this book down as I wanted to keep on reading and see what would happen to Jo and the other main characters, Ruth and Malcolm. The idea of three strangers coming together and becoming firm friends later in life was lovely and made me think how we all meet different people at different parts of our lives.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to others! Five stars from me!
