Jo is in London looking after her Uncle Wilbur's stationery shop, he is now in a care home as he has dementia and she is now in the place where as a child she used to play at being in a Post Office. Now she is struggling to see how she will manage, do people actually buy stationery any more? Very soon she is meeting some of the locals, Eric the Viking, who is actually Eric the Optician. The Runaway vicar, reverend Ruth Hamilton, who was buying envelopes, but Jo can't find out more about her. Malcolm, who reminded Jo of the big friendly giant in the Roald Dahl novel, but he is actually a retired tax analyst.
Plus a young mother who she has nicknamed Caramel Toffee Girl. As the days go by the people in this community in London become really good friends, friends that can rely on each other in times of need. When Jo gets some devastating news she too needs these friends more than ever.
A cute story about friendship between the most unlikely of people but who in the end are best friends, their loves, lives and emotions bringing them all closer together. This is truly an emotional feel good story which will touch your heartstrings.
One quote from this book which I particularly like is from George Eliot "It is never too late to be what you might have been ".

A gorgeous heartwarming and comforting read, 5 stars 🌟
