Where to start!
This book was amazing! From the start it got you enthralled - throwing you into the luves of a greek village who suffered tragic loss during a wildfire. Its a story of healying, justice and ultimately forgiveness/moving on.
The book is split in how its written, taking turns into delving into the past (told as if the woman is writing it down in a book) and then modern events. Its fascinating to watch the past unravel before your eyes. It also explains certain parts of the future with such emotion that I could not stop crying!
Its a book for the more mature I think, due to some of the topics covered (murder/suicide, death). However a young adult could follow the story no issue if they are mature i age. It was certainly something ai would have read as a teen!
I havent actually read the authors other books such as the beekeeper of allepo but I will certainly give it a go now!
