I found this book to be a real page turner, as each chapter left me feeling thirsty for more information and storytelling. I liked how I was drawn into the tale and I loved the addition of a story alongside the main narrative.
Just like other books by Christy Lefteri, this has a beautiful looking book cover and having read and enjoyed The beekeeper of Alpello I felt assured that this should be another great book by this author, and it was as it compels you and grips you into another world right from the start.
I would not normally choose to pick a book which has the theme of human destruction on the beautiful places of our world, as I find it so disturbing to read about actions without consideration of their consequences. But the compelling writing by the author was so engrossing that I had to read it! The authors ability to add depth to the characters and how the tale continually unfolded provides for a story that will stay with you.
