I enjoyed this first impression. What surprised me was that it was actually an easy read and I can see how it would become an uplifting story about female friendship. The author has handled the tough topic well at the start, so hopefully the book carries on in this way. I really feel for main character Keira, whose life is now going to completely change. This is promosing start to what is hopefully an uplifting story at the end. It feels like the kind of book where you're going to go on a journey with the main character.
