Honest and straightforward
I absolutely love the honesty of these first few chapters. It's written so naturally which I appreciate, the author is obviously sympathetic to the subject and wants the natural process of the cancer diagnosis to come across with realism.
The fear of saying 'I have cancer' for the first time is very apparent you can feel her apprehension to saying the words out loud.
I like how the author has portrayed the change in people's attitude towards her from the second the words are spoken..
I'm actually really looking forward to seeing the progression of the story.
