Having known a number of people close to me suffer from cancer this book immediately called out. The blurb sounded realistic and a sensitive but light hearted way of tackling the topic.

I liked the writing style from the start. The book is written from the perspective of keira, in a jovial, conversational tone and we go through her thought processes with her. Whilst I might not normally be drawn to this style of writing with a subject matter like battling cancer I think this was appropriate so as to not make the book too depressing.

From the sample offered this book appears to be a funny and sensitive story dealing with an all too common subject matter. It is suggestive that the novel will provide some heart ache but with an overriding hopefulness come the end. I would very much be interested in reading this book!
