Oof, this is the epitome of not for me. I can just not understand the appeal of Cancer books. It's too real and too close to home for basically everyone. We all know someone who has gone through this. I feel scared and sad reading this, and knowing that the character is going to go through some amazing transformation and come out the other side stronger doesn't help at all. I felt strangled and angry at the descriptions of Lorna and Pierre takin over her business, and again, I feel that there is probably a great reclaiming take-down to come, but that doesn't really help to quell the helpless rage I am filled with at the idea of an entrepreneur having their business overshadowed by a strong willed colleague and her husband.

Having said all that, the writing was good and the characters were well imagined. I'm sure if this type of fiction were your jam, this is a great book.
