Run for your life. Literally.
'The Cancer Ladies' Running Club' starts with a powerful opening that immediately bring the sense of great storytelling fuelled by an important message. Even though the title gives a reader the gist of the story, judging by the opening chapters it's quite apparent that there's a lot of a story to tell. A lot more.
My first impression is that Josie Lloyds wants to deromanticise the idea of cancer survival, by turning it into a story of the bad and the ugly. Which I absolutely love. The subject is far too important and far too relevant to keep it light and fluffy. Cannot wait to read the full story.
