The cover is very eye-catching and it does provide a positive message of being united and being with friends during what must be a dreadful time.
However, having lost family to cancer and with a close friend currently going through chemo, I think I might consider an 'uplifting' book to be too twee and self satisfied to enjoy.
Having said that however, if this book does bring some enjoyment or peace or hope to anyone presently being treated for cancer, or who has someone close to them receiving treatment, then it will have done its job and should not be criticised. It is just not for me.
