Keira finds out the thing most people dread - she has cancer - the C Word ! The first thing you would think of doing is to tell your family and close friends for support and help, but not Keira. She is married , has children and runs her own business but she doesn't want to tell them. She doesn't want to be labelled. She doesn't want to have every one looking at her or treating her differently. She doesn't want to be that woman with cancer. So quite out of the blue she decides to join a ladies running club. Something she has never thought about doing before. But these remarkable women all know what she is going through - they all have cancer too. It is through their treatments and hospital stays that they club together. The runs they do through the park help them think differently. They make each other laugh, they cry together, they support each other without the same feelings that Keira is trying to avoid. The tea and sympathy brigade that come round to see if you are ok but end up making you feel worse. Keira has found more than this in the cancer ladies running club.
