I love how the book focuses on one’s experiences with cancer. I think it is great how the author has also talked about how life may be like for someone living with cancer.
Upon Kiera's diagnosis of breast cancer, she joins a running group with a bunch of ladies with similar stories to her. The group was so uplifting, and it was beautiful to see how the group (The Cancer Ladies' Running Group) progresses. The friendships Kiera makes after learning about her diagnosis are beautiful and the book shows the support new friends and family give.
The book shows how unexpected events should not stop you from reaching your dreams and living your life. Even though the book covers an emotional and sensitive topic this is a great account of cancer shown through empathy and humour. This is a fantastic emotional book, which I would definitely recommend to others, I had tears in my eyes throughout reading. Also, the cover is very beautiful.
