I haven’t read book this yet but from the blurb and the sample I know I’m going to love it. A lot of my close family and friends have gone through cancer and or been affected by it and I’m currently writing and illustrating a book about cancer for children, so cancer and everything about it is very close to my heart. My mother has cancer a while back and reading the synopsis of this story warmed my heart and opened my eyes as the main character sounded a lot like my mum and what she went through.
Once more, I have not read this book but the sample writing was brilliant, the author has truly captured a homely and comforting environment in just a few paragraphs and it’s making me want to read more.
Not only is the message of the book important to me and my family but the writing style and homely feel of the sample is so inviting and I can’t wait to read this book!!
