I picked out this book because I felt like this might portray breast cancer and not romanticize it. I do not have breast cancer myself so I cannot say if it does romanticize it but it really takes us with keira through her journey of getting the diagnosis. It makes all of this seem more real and gives me some perspective with what anyone who has breast cancer but as a person who isn't afflicted with it I can not answer that. I feel like the writing is really good and it's a really enjoyable story which I will reread soon, because I did enjoy it a lot. I love how complex Keira is and how real this is and her thinking can be a bit off at times but her support through the book is really wholesome and this heartwarming because I feel like the support group really makes me jealous of the kind of support she gets but she deserves it and I'm really happy with the ending!
