The cover of this book with words like Cancer and Heartbreaking indicates that it is not a light hearted read. Despite the great progress that has been made in treating cancer it is still a diagnosis that shocks and frightens patient and family. Josie Lloyd has written this book based on her own experience of cancer and how a group of recovering from cancer runners helped her. Keira believes that her life is perfect. She has a loving family, good friends and work she enjoys. After her cancer diagnosis she realises how quickly everything can change. She is helped a lot by talking to others in the same situation who can really understand what she is going through. I didn't enjoy this book as much as I'd hoped. I found there was too much detail about the treatments Keira had which I felt got in the way of the story at times. However, the message of the book is a positive one and does make you think about what is important in our lives.
