The novel, whilst it is fiction, is clearly a very personal novel to the author. After battling her own demons the author creates a breathtaking world in which a successful joint owner of a high-end store is diagnosed with breast cancer.

We follow Keira through all her frustrations, her business partner seems to think she's incapable, her husband works late with his young assistant and the school mums and their kids are treating her like an infectious disease.
Suddenly Keira's dark life doesn't seem so dark when she meets a heavy make up enthusiast at her oncology appointment. And thus the Cancer Ladies Running Club is born.

This book covers such a dark subject in a light but funny manner that still has a serious edge to it. This book shows that friendship (even newly formed ones) have the power to get us through anything and how life doesn't always go as planned, and that even if it doesn't, it doesn't mead you get to give up.

Heart wrenching, funny, light inspiring read. 100% would recommend
