This is a book about a woman's struggle with cancer... but it's also not. Yes, cancer is a big topic within the story and is the reason for most of the situations, it is also about friendship and stress and community.
I loved the writing style and found myself being drawn in for hours, wanting to see how everything unfolded. You create a real connection to Keira and want to crawl into the book and sort everything out for her.
Certain characters (avoiding spoilers) infuriated me and I wanted to yell at them and make them understand the situation from Keira's point of view. However, despite certain attempts to disrupt everything, the friends that Keira made through the running club provided clarity and strength. Of course no one wants to be in their situation and go through all that they have been through, but you definitely want friends like hers.
