I received a free copy of this book after reading the first impression and I just KNEW I was going to love it from the first few chapters.
It’s a subject that the author knows about first hand and you can tell from the writing style, because it’s both sincere but full of humour too. The plot, whilst heavily focused on Keira’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, also highlights how ‘normal’ life doesn’t stop. It’s refreshing to read a book about cancer that focuses on the positives whilst also touching on the fact that it’s not always a positive outcome for everyone. Whilst it’s predictable in places, it’s a nice read that isn’t hard to pick up and put down as when you feel like reading. There’s no hard to read parts full of medical jargon and I finished this in a few days. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a beautifully written book about a normally sensitive subject.
