I absolutely adored this book. Although it deals with some extremely serious topics it does so with a positive outlook and with friendship and support at the heart of the novel. We follow Keira through her experience of breast cancer from when she receives her diagnosis, through her operation and through chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Early on she bumps into a lady called Tamsin, who has also been diagnosed with breast cancer, and Tamsin encourages Keira to start running - forming the start of the Cancer Ladies' Running Club. Weaved in amongst this main story, are numerous other strands of the story involving Keira's family and friends and also her high street shop. Therefore this book has so much going for it; it has something for everyone and I couldn't put it down.

Lloyd has chosen to use fairly short chapters for this book which I found super effective; it helped with the light-heartedness of the narrative. The characters in the story are absolutely fascinating and so well-crafted. I felt that Lloyd really brought her characters to life which made the story all the more gripping.

This book is also informed by Lloyd's own personal experience of breast cancer and this really shone through. No one else could write such a well-informed, inspirational and uplifting story. I would wholly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, particularly during these strange times that we are currently going through. It's the perfect story of hope and I imagine it will give a lot of people a little boost of happiness and motivation in these tough times. Please pre-order this, and Lloyd thank you very much for writing this!

Thanks so much to HQ for a free copy of this book in exchange for a review.
