This book follows Keira and how she deals with those dreaded words, you have cancer.
As a wife, mother of three, and part owner of a business life is already busy, but when the diagnosis comes things start to change.
One point I'd note is at the beginning of the book the operation is described in detail, which could be hard to read for some people.
You can tell the author went through breast cancer herself, it really does show through in the story.
From her business partner who suddenly treats her with kid gloves, to the mums at school who set up a rota to take meals round, even though she's capable of still doing those things herself. The while waiting for an appointment at the hospital she meets another woman with cancer, who she initially judges for her look and tattoos. But they agree to start running together every week, and soon have 2 more in the group and the cancer ladies running group is born. Being able to talk about everything they're going through with people who understand is what gets them through.
There is a sub plot with her business that I felt took away from the story, but that's just me.
A lovely read that really shows what it's like having cancer, I would recommend this to everyone.
