It is clear that the book cleverly tackles negative cancer themes by focusing on the positives in everyday lives. It gives an inspiring message to anyone dealing with cancer or just going through a hard time. It is clear the character gradually gets hold on her life as the book continues further and becomes incredibly inspiring. I was first drawn to the novel due to the book cover design. It is a simple design that uses colour and imagery to target its audience correctly. From the section that I have read, it is clear that the character is a mother and belongs to a loving family. I am sure that the more that is read, the deeper the reader will be shown the difficulties that the character faces due to her parenting role. I can only imagine the pain and worry that the family will feel due to her cancer diagnosis and I am interested in reading the book further to see how they all tackle these challenges. It is clear that the mother joins a running group to come to terms with her struggles. I would like to continue reading this book to see the impact that the club has on her and her families life.
