I could not put this book down! It’s such an inspirational book that shows Kiera going through cancer, but also all the other life situations she needs to deal with. Her relationship with her husband throughout is interesting as, even though this is from her point of view, you can see how the diagnosis affects Tom and the kids.
The running club, all of which have cancer, is inspirational and reading how they look after each other and describe their different phases of chemo is an insight.
Reading about Kiera’s issues when trying to run her own business, dealing with a house hold, family issues etc, shows the reality of the illness, just because Kiera has it, her other issues do not stop. Her realisation that one of her friends could die of cancer is shocking and her willingness to help and raise money for further treatment is admirable. 5 stars, I think I’ll probably read it again!
