Although I didn’t get to read too far into the book, I can see that it has an enormous amount of potential into the development of the characters and the story line. I enjoy that this book is in first person, as I feel like it helps me relate to the main character and feel things on more of a personal level compared to third person when it feels as though it’s harder to see into their thoughts and feelings.
I love how there’s a preface before you go into the main plot, I feel like it sets the story really well and introduces the main character and her family and friends. This book wrenched my heart and I only got to read the first few chapters, so I can only imagine what it’s like as the story develops. I can tell that this story is going to be so powerful, and something that many women in particular can relate to and understand on a personal level. I can’t wait to read more!
