Some spoilers ahead...sort of...because I predicted the entire book before I read I anyway...

It’s obvious from the off every little detail of this book.
- makes fiends with a group of ill ladies...obviously the founder of the group is going to be the one (because unfortunately, in books like this there is always one) who passes away - check.
- Kiera’s work colleagues are being sly and keeping things from her... obviously they’re going to try and take the business and obviously Keira will stop them - check.
- thinks husband is having an affair... obviously a misunderstanding and the woman she accuses turns out to be a lesbian - double check.
- has a teenage daughter... obviously they’re going to fall out but make friends again in the end - check.
- one of the school moms is mean... obviously it’s a misunderstanding and they become friends - check.
- teenage daughter has a secret party, family dog gets ill... obviously from being maltreated at the party and not the main characters fault - check.
- friends can’t find partners / have long list lives... obviously everyone is reunited by the end - check.
- everyone apart from the token death has a happy ever after - check.

I didn’t not enjoy this book. It was well written, and once I got over the fact that I already knew the entire storyline I did very much enjoy the way it was written. And the sensitive topic was handled with lighthearted hope and humour - all credit to the author there, who admits she drew on her own life experiences.

A gripping read of twists and turns? No.
A life affirming read for anyone, particularly those suffering through illness? Check.
