I received a copy of this arc thanks to Readers First and HQ Stories.

Before receiving this book, I had the chance to read the preview which included the first 7 chapters. This was my first impression of the book:

I feel like I probably wouldn't have thought of reading this had my dad not been diagnosed with cancer last year. Cancer is always seen as a negative, sad thing but from this preview, it doesn't seem like that's the case here. I am very intrigued by this. It looks like a promising read!

Having now read the full book, this is my full review:

I just adored this book! It’s heartbreaking yet inspiring at the same time.

This is based off the authors own breast cancer diagnosis and treatment experience. I definitely learned a lot in this book. It made me contemplate what i’d do if I had cancer.

When it went through Keira’s thought process of what’s going to happen in the future - she’d miss her kids growing up, she’d miss running her business, she’d miss her friends, etc - it made me realise that this is probably what my dad was thinking when he got his diagnosis. It really made me reflect more on what my dad’s been going through that i’ve not thought about.

I just loved how positive Keira was, even with her cancer treatment and everything else that seemed to be going wrong in her life. It’s very uplifting and fiercely positive.

I’d 100% recommend this book to everyone, it’s a very bold book that needs to be read.
