The Cancer Ladies' Running Club is a book set in the modern day, focused on main character Keira Wishwell. Kiera is diagnosed with breast cancer, and is terrified of the changes this will bring to her life.

The language and the writing style of this book is incredibly informal and engaging, and I enjoyed being able to experience Keira's emotions and thought process. However, I did find Keira to be a slightly judgmental character at times, yet I think that this made her seem more real and 3D.

Keira is a successful business woman who owns a gift shop, and this diagnosis prompts her to fret as to its future. Her workforce are akin to her family, and when she is told by her business partner's boyfriend Pierre that she cannot assist her employee financially Keira begins to rethink her position within the business.

I really enjoyed The Cancer Ladies' Running Club, I thought the plot line was new and engaging, and I thought that seeing the development of the characters as the chapters progressed would be an incredibly enlightening process.
