First of all, the cover is beautiful and is what initially drew me in.
However, from reading the first impression I'm not sure how I feel.
The first three chapters seemed pretty basic, not what I was expecting from the blurb and I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style. It seemed a little too choppy and blunt for my tastes.
I'm a fantasy lover so chapter four is where I started to become interested in the story but I have a feeling this isn't going to go in the direction I'd like it to go.
Not 100% sold on this one unfortunately, which is a shame because it's a gorgeous looking book.
