Hmmm, I'm interested to see where this will go
The cover of The Colour of Shadows is the type of cover that catches my eye for some reason or other and the premise held my attention in a similar way. The Colour of Shadows does not seen like the type of book I typically read and I'm not sure it will convert me to the genre, however I'm more than willing to try.
From the FI I am ever so slightly cautious of the plot and the character of Saffron. Both seem liable to irritate me at aome point, but I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised by them both.
On a better note, the writing style didn't immediately make me hate it, so that's a win! 😁😂
Here's to hoping I don't throw this book in a shredder if I ever continue reading it.
