Interesting plot, i really want to read more!
This subject interests me a lot so when I read what this novel was about I just had to read the first look!
The protagonist, Saffron, decides to go up to the attic to look for a photograph for her A level project that she was doing, even though she was told the attic was out of bounds.
The story does go a bit fast in the sense of describing to what I normally like, but at the same time I feel it helps the plot in the way its written.
When she opens a briefcase she finds something that upsets her and immediately calls her dad demanding answers, before running outside, obviously distraught.
It then switches to Toms point of view. Who finds Saffron upset and even though he wants to carry on without speaking to her he decides to go and check if she is okay anyway.
Tom and Saffron were best friends when they were younger but for some reason had drifted apart and were now just "casual friends".
Even though the writing isn't exactly my style I really want to read the whole book when it comes out because sometimes you need to read a little further on before you get into the story.
The cover is amazing and it really draws you in.
