I wasn't the biggest fan of Shrimpton's prior book, Sunflowers in February, but I do think she has potential as an author and I want to give her work another go. The Colour of Shadows sounds both similar and dissimilar to Sunflowers in February, but slightly more up my alley. Certainly, the portrayal of homelessness is something I am really intrigued to read.
