Wow what an amazing book I couldn't put it down. It was so sad that it took a terrible week for saffron to learn the truth about love. I loved how the writer went from Tom and saffron in their different views so you knew how they both were feeling about various situations throughout the book. The scenarios set in the story are all too very true in today's world and a lot of people don't realise the harsh reality like saffron didnt. Im glad things turnt out how they did and it shows you no amount of money or material things in life can make the perfect family. The author wrote the story perfectly describing situations and people fantastically. It was as if these people were in front of you as the story unfolded. I would love to read more by Phyllida Shrimpton as she isn't an author I have come across before but I was certainly impressed
